HUFF <br />The attached petition of the Common Council to amend <br />Section 17 —A of Ordinance No. 3702, the Zoning Ordinance <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana was legally advertised <br />under date of of January 16, 1964 and given public <br />hearing on January 27, 1964. The following action was <br />taken: <br />After due consideration it was duly moved, <br />seconded, and unanimously carried that the <br />following resolution be adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission finds: <br />1. That the proposed amendment to the Zoning <br />Ordinance would under ordinary circumstances <br />be a desirable amendment. <br />2. That one of the purposes of the Zoning <br />Ordinance is to promote the general <br />welfare of the City. <br />3. That the proposed amendment if adopted at <br />the present time would prohibit the use of <br />certain areas for the purposes for which <br />the City is presently committed to use such <br />areas. <br />
