ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCII. OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $5,000.00 <br />FROM THE HAZ-MAT FUND (FUND #289) <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The City of South Bend through its Fire Department operates a Hazardous Material <br />Response Team for the purpose of providing the citizens of South Bend with protection from <br />dangers arising from chemical spills and other accidents involving hazardous materials. <br />To operate at full efficiency and best protect the public, the Hazardous Material Response <br />Team needs to purchase new equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCII. OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from <br />and within the Haz-Mat Fund (Fund No. 289) for the purchase of new equipment. <br />Account No. Description Amount <br />289 Haz-Mat Fund $5,000.00 <br />Section II.
