ORDINANCE N0. 6 9 e— �,41 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 9 TO ORDINANCE <br />NO. 4207 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />THE INCREASE OF SEWAGE SERVICE CHARGES TO <br />ALL USERS OF CITY SEWER SERVICE OR CITY <br />WATER SERVICE FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAIR <br />AND /OR REPLACEMENT OF WATER SERVICE LINES, <br />SHUT -OFF BOXES AND WATER METER MANHOLES ", <br />AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 4260. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 4207, which Or- <br />dinance was adopted on the 13th day of January, 1958, and which <br />Ordinance was amended by Ordinance No. 4260, which Ordinance was <br />adopted on the 24th day of February, 1959, be and the same is <br />hereby adopted to read as follows: <br />SECTION IX: For the purposes of this article <br />the following words and phrases shall have the <br />meaning respectively ascribed to them by this <br />Section: <br />"Water Service line" or ldater line" or "Main <br />.:�rvice line ". Such terms shall mean and in- <br />clude any pipe carrying water extending from <br />a hater main owned and maintained by the Water <br />Works or from a "distribution main ", as here- <br />inafter defined, to the foundation walls of a <br />residential building or the front walls of any <br />commercial or industrial building. <br />The term "distribution main ", as used herein, <br />shall mean and include any main extending from <br />a water main owned and maintained by the Water <br />Works into an industrial park, shopping center, <br />apartment house complex or similar area, and <br />from which, at a point outside the foundation <br />walls or front walls of any buildings, water <br />service lines, water lines or main service lines <br />are extended to the foundation walls or front <br />walls of any buildings to provide water service <br />to users. <br />SECTION II.
