April 6, 1965
The Honorable Common Council
City of South Bend
South Bend, Indiana
Gentlemen:
The attached petition of John H. and Maude A. Mink, et al,
to rezone from "B" Residential Use to "C" Commercial Use
the property generally located at the Southeast corner of
Miami and Lincoln Way East was legally advertised under
date of March 22, 1965 and given public hearing on April
10 1965. The following action was taken:
After due consideration the Commission found that
the proposed rezoning would not be in the best
interest of the subject area, that sufficient
commercial zoning exists in the area, and that
commercial development of this area would gen-
erate a serious traffic problem. It was there-
fore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously
carried that the petition be recommended unfavor-
ably to the Council
Very truly yours,
CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
Robert L.
