The <br />Board accepted the Chiefs recommendation as outlined above. <br />APPROVE PROMOTION - PATROLMAN MARTIN MULLI1\6 <br />In a letter to the Board, Chief Boy-ins recommended that Patrolman Martin Mullins be promoted to <br />the rank of Corporal, effective September 14, 2008. Chief Boykins noted that Patrolman Mullins has <br />successfully completed three (3) years of service with the South Bend Police Department. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. BonDurant, seconded by Mr. Reed and carried, the request for the promotion <br />was approved. <br />Ms. Dempsey advised that the Board is in receipt of a Declaration for Retirement from Corporal <br />Rick Ruszkows ki in which he tenders his resignation from the South Bend Police Department., <br />retroactive to July 6, 2008. Upon a motion made by Mr. Boi-iDurant, seconded by Mr. Reed and <br />carried, the resignation was accepted and approved. <br />Ms. Dempsey advised that Police Chief Daryl Boykins, has submitted to the Board a letter of <br />
