Boland, between Portage and Riverside has been closed <br />since September 14 due to flooding resulting from excessive rainfall at that time. <br /> <br />The first stage of the work will consist of repairs to the water main including plugging of <br />the two exposed ends of the damaged water main. Due to the dangerous site conditions, the <br />South Bend Fire Department will be assisting with this effort. Work will take place from 6am- <br />9am Wednesday. <br /> <br /> Dave Tungate, Water Quality Engineer for South Bend Water Works advises that “there <br />will be no disruption in water service, however, the process may have a minor impact and could <br />cause some discolored water in the areas that were affected last week.” <br /> <br />-30- <br />
