Sample St. (Recommended) <br />Met with Nathan Adamczyk. They do not have video surveillance because they <br />do not deal with any walk up business. They only deal in large quantities (semi -truck size <br />loads). They do keep records of all purchases brought in, and do not deal with <br />transactions under $100 dollars, <br />US Scrap LLC, 1420 S. Walnut (Recommended) <br />Met with Blair Melvin. US Scrap was in full compliance with all required items. <br />They have a very good video surveillance system, and had their binders of all purchase <br />transactions, and forms for transactions less than $100. <br />South Bend Iron & Scrap, 429 W. Indiana (Recommended) <br />South Bend Waste Paper, 1519 S. Franklin <br />Met with Calvin Manns. South Bend Iron, and South Bend Waste Paper are the <br />same company. They do all of the processing out of the 1519 S. Franklin building. They <br />were in compliance with all of the required items. They were able to provide all requested <br />items for me to review. <br />Alternative Two LLC, 700 W. Chippewa (Recommended) <br />Met with Mashelle Sager. Alternative Two is a tire recycler, and only deal in large <br />quantity (semi loads) with contactors. They do not have video surveillance because they <br />only deal with contractorsm, and do not purchase from non- contactors. They do not do <br />small transactions. If someone wants to drop off a couple of tires they can, but they do <br />not get paid. They do not keep, records of transactions of less than $100, because they do <br />not deal with any small transactions. They do keep records of all purchases from their <br />contactors. <br />Schrock Aggregate, 1702 N. Bendix (Recommended) <br />Met with Dave Majors. Scrock only deals in large amount (trick loads) of gravel, <br />concrete, and sand/dirt. They do not deal any scrap metal, or take walk -ups. Therefore <br />they do not have video surveillance of transactions, or keep records of transactions off <br />less than $100. All of their business in contactors, and they keep records of all of their <br />sales to these contactors. <br />L KQ,1602 S. Lafayettte (Recommended) <br />Met with Tony Grant. Mr. Grant gave me a tour of the brand new facility. They <br />are not open yet, but do have a great surveillance system already in place. He was unable <br />to provide me with any records of transactions, because they have not opened yet. He <br />stated that they will have all required records when they open, and was able to outline <br />there intake process. He invited me to come back out after they open to observe there <br />records process, and their transaction tracking system. <br />
