ORDINANCE NUMBER 4853 -66 AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL PARK FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,000.00 TO ACCOUNT 251 (REPAIRS TO BUILDINGS & STRUCTURES)x AND 51 (INSURANCE & PREMIUm) FILED ID CLERK'S OFFICE MIAY 161966 KATHRYN L. BLOUGH CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for various functions of the Department of Public Parks to meet such extraordinary emergencies and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has leased the old National Guard Armory from the State Armory Board and said City has con - veyed the structure to the Park Department for use as a Recreation Center and WHEREAS, notice has been received from the Indiana Boiler Pressure Board advising the Park Department that repair parts could not be obtained in case of malfunction of the present thirty —nine year old boiler at the National Guard Armory and WHEREAS, estimate cost of insurance premiums quoted to prepare the 1965 budget were not sufficient to pay for said premiums in 1965 which had to be paid from the 1966 budget and the cost of premiums in the 1966 budget are expected to be higher than the amount budgeted a shortage has occurred in Account 51, Insurance. SECTION Iu BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE.COMMON COUNCIL OF THE: CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, that for the expenses of City Government and its institution for the year ending December 31, 19669 the following sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund herein named and for the purpose here,. in specified, subject to the laws governing the same, and such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless, otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law. SECTION II. That for said fiscal year there is hereby appropria�t of and from the General Park Fund, the following specified amounts to meet such extraordinary emergencies as follows to wit: 1. Park Department Account 251 designated as Services Contractual, Repairs to Buildings & Structures - $5,000.00 2. Park Department.Aceount 51 designated as Current Charges, Insurance & Premiums — $6,000.00 SECTION III, This ordinance from and after its passage by the the Mayor, and the fulfillment of emergency appropriations.
