ZONING 8~ ANNEXATION COMMITTEE AUGUST 11, 2008 <br />Committee Members Present: Councilmember's AI "Buddy" Kirsits, Chairperson; Thomas <br />LaFountain; David Varner <br />Councilmember's Present: Ann Puzzello, Karen L. White, Timothy Rouse <br />Others Present: Charles Cowlitz, Wendi Chaille, Rita Kopala, Jaime Loo, Don Inks, Mark Lyons, <br />Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, John Voorde <br />Chairperson Kirsits called the meeting to order at 3:45 p.m. and stated that the purpose of this <br />meeting is to discuss bills on tonight agenda. <br />BILL N0.08-67 SPECIAL EXCEPTION 1911 IRELAND <br />Chairperson Kirsits opened the meeting by asking Mark Lyons for the report from the BZA. Mark <br />reported that the request to erect a wireless transmission tower passed the BZA with a <br />unanimous favorable recommendation. He stated that there were no objections received from <br />the nearby property owners. At the chair's request, Wende Chaille, representing AT&T Wireless <br />described the nature of the request. Wanted was a 150' high tower located behind strip mall <br />properties at 1911 Ireland, near the Ireland/Ironwood intersection. Charles Cowlitz owner of the <br />property spoke in support. Following brief discussion, D. Varner motioned, Councilmember <br />LaFountain seconded, all supported a favorable recommendation to Council. <br />BILL NO. 08-69 SPECIAL EXCEPTION 1129 N. ST. LOUIS <br />Chairman Kirsits read a request from the petitioner that consideration and vote be continued until <br />August 25, 2008. <br />Councilmember LaFountain made such a motion. Councilmember Varner seconded and all <br />complied to continue Bill No. 08-69 until August 25, 2008. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee, Chairperson Kirsits adjourned <br />the meeting at 4:53 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />~ ~~ <br />t <br />AI "Buddy" Kirsits, Chairperson <br />Zoning and Annexation Committee <br />
