PUBLIC WORKS AND PROPERTY VACATION AUGUST 11, 2008 Committee Members Present: Councilmember's David Varner, Chairperson, Thomas LaFountain Others Present: Councilmember Ann Puzzello, Councilmember Karen White, Gary Gilot, Gloria Vasquez, Rita Kopala, Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, John Voorde Councilmember David Varner, Chairperson, Public Works and Property Vacation Committee called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. BILL N0.43-08 ALLEY VACATION NEAR LAUREL 8~ WESTERN AVENUE Chairman Varner began by reading a request for continuance from the petitioner. Representing the petitioner, Gloria Vasquez, the church secretary, explained the need for the Church to expand into an unused dead-end alley. However in that Burkhart Outdoor Advertising many need access to a billboard, a soluble problem by creating an easement, the request to continue was necessary. Continuance until August 25, 2008 was assured to allow time for the easement.
