June 7, 1965 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend,; South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "B" Residential Use and "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District the property generally described as being bounded on the East by Ironwood Drive, on the West by Sampson Street, on the North by Bowman Street, and on the South by Ewing Avenue was legally advertised under date of May 24, 1965 and given public hearing on June 3, 1965. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed zoning would be in the best interest of the area.
