Board members did not <br />discuss any subject matter other than the subject matter as specified in the Public Notice. BonDurant, Patrick D. <br />Cottrell, and E. Jack Reed present. Also present were Uniform Division Chief Jeff Walters, Fire <br />Chief Howard Buchanon and Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />The meeting was held in the board ® Public Works Meeting Room, 131 Floor, County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br />President Alford advised that if there were no ob ections by members of the Board <br />j the minutes of <br />the Public Agenda Session, Executive Session, and Regular meetings of the Board held on July 30, <br />2008 would be accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RESIGNATION — PATROLMAN COLIN BURNS <br />President Alford advised that Police Chief Daryl Boykins has submitted to the Board a letter of <br />resignation from Patrolman Colin Burns, effective August 1, 2008. He has served the South Bend <br />Police Department and the citizens of South Bend since he was sworn in on January 9, 2008. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. BonDurant, seconded by Mr. Cottrell and carried, the r�signation was accepted <br />and approved. <br />
