ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1: That the following described property in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana: An irregularly shaped tract of land situated partially in Section 30 and partially in Section 312 T37N2 R3E,, described as beginning at a point on the present City Limits 760 feet South and 40 feet East of the Northwest corner of Section 31, thence North 1413 feet on a line parallel to and 40 feet East of the West lines of Sections 30 and 31 to a point 653 feet North and 40 feet East of the Southwest corner of Section 30, thence East 1012.56 feet on a line parallel to and 653 feet North of the South line of Section 30, thence South 693 feet, thence West on a line 40 feet South of and parallel to the North line of Section 31, to a point 40 feet South and 2026.93 feet West of the Northeast corner of the Northwest one - quarter of Section 31, thence in a Southeasterly direction in a straight line 465.4 feet to a 6oint 495 feet South and 1934 feet West of the northeast corner of the Northwest one- quarter of Section 31, which point lies on the present City Limits, thence in generally Westerly and Southerly directions along the present City Limits to the point of beginning, being generally East of Miami Road near Jackson Road and abutting the city limits on its southern boundary.
