JOSEPH / WAYNE STREET PARKING STRUCTURE <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear David: <br />We thank you for this opportunity to submit to you our Proposal to provide architectural and <br />engineering consultant services to the City of South Bend (Owner) for the Exterior Facade <br />Renovation to the St. Joseph /Wayne Street Parking Structure. Alliance Architects (Architect) <br />shall provide Services as listed herein. <br />PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br />The Project Site is located at the northwest corner of St. Joseph Street and Wayne Street in <br />downtown South Bend. <br />The City, in addition to the desired exterior aesthetic improvements, requires a long -term <br />solution to the on -going deterioration of the existing precast brick veneer system. Alternative <br />methods of repair and /or replacement of the existing facade system have been submitted to the <br />City by Carl Walker, Inc. (Facade Study dated January 23, 2013). The Architect will retain the <br />consulting services of Carl Walker, Inc. <br />The City will consider a phased project delivery approach to the renovation in order to eliminate <br />the concerns of public safety (ie. Phase -1: Encapsulate or remove the deteriorating precast <br />brick veneer facade system; Phase -2: Design and installation of new facade). <br />The Project Budget is $650,000. <br />ARCHITECT SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION <br />a. The Architect shall manage the Architect's services and administer the Project.
