South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />services in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (Wightman Petrie, <br />related to demolition of Gates property) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that the Commission <br />approved a contract with Wightman Petrie on <br />October 5, 2007 for acquisition and <br />demolition services for the Gates Building. <br />We need some additional survey services and <br />demolition administration for an additional <br />cost of $10,800. The total contract would <br />then be $36,000. Staff recommends <br />approving the request for additional services <br />at the fee proposed. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />additional services from Wightman Petrie at <br />a cost of $10,800. <br />C. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2491 related to acquisition <br />of property in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. (1630 Maplewood) <br />Mr. Witwer noted that 1630 Maplewood is <br />part of the residential that we are purchasing <br />to eliminate anon-conforming use from the <br />industrial park near Lincolnway and Bendix. <br />Resolution No. 2491 sets the offering price at <br />$78,500, the average of our two appraisals. <br />Resolution No. 2492 approves a counter offer <br />from William and Cheryl Buckles in the <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES FROM WIGHTMAN PETRIE <br />AT A cosT OF $10,800 <br />19 <br />
