CLOW u SONS, INC. AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXPENDITURE OF $9,175.14 BY THE WA1ER <br />WORIMS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF MECHANICAL JOINT GATE <br />VALVES FROM THE JAMS B. CLOW u SONS, INC. <br />DURING THE CALENDAR YEAR 1967. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CO-MON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That the dater 'dorks of The City of <br />South Bend, Indiana is hereby authorized to enter <br />into separate contracts for the purchase during the <br />calendar year 1967, from the James B. Clow 6, Sons, Inc., <br />for the following water main pipe of cast iron or <br />ductile, as the purchase of the same is -required in the <br />operation of the said 'slater Works in a total quantity <br />and at a total cost of not to exceed the quantity and <br />cost itemized for each classification of water main <br />pipe: <br />1,000' <br />16`1 <br />$ 7,535.00 <br />4,000' <br />IV <br />21,100.00 <br />5,000' <br />IV <br />20,875.00 <br />8,000' <br />8' <br />25,720.00 <br />10,000' <br />6" <br />23,250.00 <br />2,000' <br />4" <br />3,180.00 <br />1,000' <br />V <br />1,380.00 <br />500' <br />2" <br />770._00 <br />$103,810.00 <br />together with 12 tons of cast iron fittings in the <br />amount of $6,348.00, for the total amount of $110,158.00 <br />and the execution of said contracts pursuant to the terms <br />of this Ordinance is hereby approved. <br />SECTION II. That the Water Works of The City of <br />South Bend, Indiana is hereby authorized to enter into <br />separate contracts for the purchase during the calendar <br />year 1967, from the James B. Clow and Sons, Inc. for the <br />following mechanical joint gate valves, as the purchase <br />of the same is required in the operation of the said <br />Water Works in a total quantity and at a total cost of <br />not to exceed the quantity and cost itemized for each <br />classification of valves: <br />
