BLOUGH <br />CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND. <br />ORDINANCE NO., ,lL per% <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF <br />$31,394.36 FROM THE STREET AND TRAFFIC <br />FUND AND $23,042.60 FROM THE CITY PLAN <br />FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND APPROPRIATING <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF <br />$48,000.00 TO ACCOUNT B -53 "REFUND, AWARDS <br />AND INDEMNITIESC° IN THE OFFICE OF CONTROLLER. <br />WHEREAS, the purposes for which the Street and Traffic <br />Fund and the City Plan Fund were established have been <br />completed and, <br />WHEREAS, there are balances remaining in said funds which <br />are unencumbered and uncommitted and, <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is <br />now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated <br />in the annual budget for the various functions of City govern- <br />ment to meet extraordinary conditions; and, <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed in Account B -53, <br />"Refunds, Awards and Indemnities" in the Office of Controller <br />to satisfy and pay a valid and existing judgment rendered <br />against the City of South Bend, Indiana in Cause No.. B7456 and <br />in judgment docket 78, page 68 in the Office of the Clerk of <br />St. Joseph County, Indiana, now; therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That the following sums of money be and are <br />hereby ordered transferred to the General Fund of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana; <br />1. 031,394.36 from the Street and Traffic Fund. <br />2. $23,042.60 from the City Plan Fund. <br />SECTION II. Be it further ordained that the sum of <br />$48,000.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated from the <br />General Fund to Account B -53, "Refunds, Awards and Indemnities" <br />in the Office of Controller. <br />SECTION III.
