BLCUGH <br />CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4961 -67 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />SALE OF CERTAIN LISTED ITEMS OF PERSONAL <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />FOR A SUM NOT LESS THAN THE APPRAISED VALUE <br />OF SAID PERSONAL PROPERTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />SECTION I - Purpose <br />WHEREAS, items listed on Exhibit "A" attached and made a <br />part hereof, are considered to be of no further use to the City <br />of South Bend, and <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council has the power to enact an <br />ordinance to authorize the alienation and conveyance of any <br />property, real or personal, belonging to the City, providing <br />that the property is first appraised by three disinterested <br />freeholders appointed by the Judge of the Circuit Court, <br />NOW THEREFORE, this ordinance is passed permitting and <br />authorizing the appraisal and sale of said items to the highest <br />bidder or combination of bidders for a sum not less than the <br />appraised value of said items. <br />SECTION II <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after its adoption by the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, its approval by the Mayor, and compliance with <br />all statutory regulations. <br />Ist & 2nd READING 11 -13 -67 <br />COMMRTEE OF THE WHOLE 11 -27 -67 <br />PUBLIC HEARING 11 -27 -67 <br />3rd READING 11 -27 -67 <br />NIT X PROVED <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED 11-27-67 <br />of the Common Council <br />
