Mr. Chris aressel <br />pB1072.400.0002 <br />gunuary 27, 2014 <br />rrage 7 <br />ACA is established, the groundwater ingestion exposure pathway will officially be rendered incomplete, <br />thereby eliminating the need to sample groundwater on- and off -pite for any metals concentrations. <br />The results of the evaluation of the proposed groundwater remedy, the extent to which a future remedy is <br />necessary based on the additional groundwater delineation and monitoring, and the progress of <br />establishing the ACA will be summarized in a of m A draft of the forthcoming amended of m will be <br />provided to the City and its outside counsel prior to finalization and submittal to IaEM. <br />SCHEDULE <br />Hull can begin coordinating the additional groundwater investigation and evaluation of any potential <br />vapor intrusion issues immediately, subject to your approval of this proposal. Assuming our drilling <br />subcontractor remains reasonably available, we anticipate all drilling and initial groundwater sampling <br />activities will be completed by the end of February 2014. <br />COMPENSATION <br />A breakdown of costs is attached as Table 1. The fees represent a time and materials, not -to- exceed fee <br />structure basis, and have been developed based on our estimate of hours for each labor category <br />expected to be involved in the project. The project will be billed on a four -week basis with payment due <br />to Hull within thirty days after receipt of an invoice. <br />ADDITIONAL WORK <br />Additional work beyond the pcope of t ork defined herein shall not be performed until such time as an <br />amendment to this proposal, including the scope of the additional work and associated costs, has been <br />prepared in writing to address the additional work and said amendment has been approved by the Client <br />in writing. <br />ppecific items not within the pcope of t ork on this project include, but are not limited to the following: <br />1. collection of more than 59 groundwater samples (including n A/n C samples) to be <br />analyzed for s I Cs in accordance with r .p. Em4 Method 8260 per quarterly sampling <br />event; <br />2. collection of indoor air and /or sub -slab vapor samples as may be deemed appropriate <br />by Hull Task 2 above; and <br />3. disposal of groundwater or soil that is determined to be hazardous. <br />k o amendment to this proposal shall be required in situations where additional work may be necessary, as <br />a result of unanticipated or unidentified conditions including, but not limited to, the presence of unidentified <br />or mislocated buried utilities, structures, or objects and unanticipated hazardous materials and /or <br />hazardous or dangerous circumstances, to complete previously identified tasks. Hull shall be compensated <br />for the actual time spent performing this additional work and other direct expenses and subcontractor fees <br />at the billing rates outlined in Table 2. <br />STANDARD OF CARE AND LIMITATIONS <br />Hull shall perform its services using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised under similar <br />conditions by reputable members of its profession practicing in the same or similar locality at the time of <br />
