ORDINANCE NO. 5008 -68 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />TO ACCOUNT Z -13, "OTHER COMPENSATION" IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $3,182.29 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAME <br />FROM ACCOUNT Z -531, "PENSIONS TO RETIRED <br />POLICEMEN ", ALL IN THE POLICEMAN'S PENSION <br />FUND. <br />WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have de- <br />veloped since the adoption of the existing annual budget so <br />that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was <br />appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of <br />City Government to meet such extraordinary conditions; and, <br />WHEREAS, Additional funds are needed for legal services <br />rendered by the attorney for the Board of Trustees of the <br />Police Pension Fund in defense of Cause # C -5049 in St. <br />Joseph Superior Court and thereby assuring the Department's <br />ability to properly perform its functions. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $3,182.29 be transferred <br />from Account Z -531, "Pensions to Retired Policemen ", and <br />transferred and appropriated to Account Z -13, "Other Com- <br />pensation", both Accounts being within the Policeman's <br />Pension Fund. <br />SECTION II.
