Joie <br />PERFORMING ARTS CENTER <br />October 1, 2001 <br />Ms. Charlotte Pfeifer <br />President, South Bend Common Council <br />435 County-City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: Morris Performing Arts Center Capital Improvement Appropriations Ordinance <br />Dear Ms. Pfeifer, <br />I attach for filing with the South Bend Common Council an Ordinance requesting an appropriat~i.on <br />of $24,800.00 within the Morris Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund (Fund 416). <br />Revenues from this fund are generated by the ticket surcharge and the fund is used exclusively <br />for capital improvements such as renovation, remodeling, and specifically here, equipment to <br />improve the facilities. <br />The improvements for which the Morris Performing Arts Center desires appropriation consist of <br />the following: <br />$10,750.00 Box Office Software and Licenses. To comply with goals <br />of increased customer satisfaction, two additional software <br />licenses will be purchased, as will an upgrade to the <br />ticketing software system. <br />$ 4,800.00 Box Office Hazdwaze. As our customer base grows, the <br />need for additional computers and printers is evident. Two <br />additional computers and two ticket-printing printers. <br />$ 3,250.00 Technical Equipment Upgrade. A multi-pin connector for <br />the main audio console to prevent wire breakage and <br />increase ease of usage for event personnel. A digital FX <br />processor is also included to provide higher-quality sound <br />to enhance our patrons' experience. <br />$ 6,000.00 Maintenance Equipment. An automatic floor scrubber is <br />to be purchased to better maintain the Lobby terrazzo <br />floors, in addition to the floors backstage, basement, and <br />interstitial areas, etc. <br />Morris Performing Arts Center • 21 I N.
