Additional Appropriation of $5,500.00 Department of Public Parks

ORDINANCE NO. 5035 -68 AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRI- ATION TO ACCOUNT 51, "INSURANCE & PREMIUMS" IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,500.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAID SUM FROM ACCOUNT 221, "ELECTRIC CURRENT ", IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PARKS, ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL PARK FUND. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropri- ate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary condtions; and, WHEREAS, estimated cost of insurance premiums quoted to prepare the 1968 budget are not sufficient to cover outstanding premiums; and WHEREAS, a surplus does exist in Account 221, Electric Current because of the time table required by the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company for the installation of lights throughout the park system. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That the sum of $5,500.00 be transferred from Account 221, Electric Current and transferred and appropriated to Account 51, Insurance & Premiums, both accounts being within the General Park Fund. SECTION II.
