ORDINANCE NO. 5109 -69 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.. WHICH IS GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS LYING EAST OF LINDEN ROAD, SOUTH OF INWOOD ROAD AND NORTH OF THE SOUTH BEND BY -PASS. Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana that: Section 1 - The following described land, lying adjacent to and forming a contiguous boundary with the present City Limits of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, more particularly described as: Beginning at a point on the north right -of -way of Ireland Road and the north -south centerline of Section 26, T37N, R2E, which is on the existing city limits of the City of South Bend, Indiana; thence south following the north and south centerline of said Section 26, a distance of 1590 feet more or less, to a point in the south right - of -way of the South Bend U.S. 31 By -Pass; thence westerly following the south right-of-way of the South Bend U.S. 31 By_ -Pass a distance of 2620 feet more or less to a point in the east right -of -way line of Linden Road; thence north following the east right -of -way line of Linden Road a distance of 3980 feet more or less to a point on the north right -of -way line of Inwood Road (Chippewa Avenue) which is on the existing city limits; thence east and south following the present city limits a distance of 5250 feet more or less to the point of beginning, containing approximately 246 acres. be and the same hereby is annexed as a part of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana.
