ORDINANCE NO. 5199 -70 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SEC- <br />TION 9 -2, ORDINANCE NUMBER 4381 -61, <br />9 1, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR <br />THE ADOPTION OF A BASIC BUILDING CODE <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That Ordinance Number 4381 -61, § 1, being Sec- <br />tion 9 -2 of Chapter 9 of the Municipal Code of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, be,and hereby is, amended to read as follows: <br />Basic Building Code -- Adoption <br />The 1970 edition of the "Basic Building Code ", as <br />promulgated by the Building Officials Conference of America, <br />Inc., four copies of which are on file with the city clerk <br />and thereby made available for public scrutiny, is hereby <br />adopted as the official Building Code of the city, except <br />for such changes, additions or deletions as are apecified <br />in this chapter. <br />SECTION II.
