ORDINANCE NO. 5137 -70 <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, GENERALLY LYING WEST <br />OF MICHIGAN STREET BETWEEN IRELAND ROAD AND THE <br />BY -PASS <br />Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana that: <br />Section 1 - The following described land, lying adjacent <br />to and forming a contiguous boundary with the present City Limits <br />of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, more particularly <br />described as: <br />Beginning at the intersection of the west line of the <br />east one -half (1/2) of Section 26, T37N, R2E, and the north <br />right-of-way line of Ireland Road (said point being on the <br />City Limits of the City of South Bend, Indiana); thence south <br />following the west line of the aforesaid one -half (1/2) <br />Section a distance of 1650 feet more or less to the inter- <br />section of the south right -of -way line of the U.S. 31 South <br />Bend By -Pass; thence easterly and southeasterly following <br />the south right -of -way line of the U.S. 31 South Bend By -Pass <br />and the southwest right -of -way of U.S. 31 and the U.S. 31 <br />South Bend By -Pass interchange a distance of 3500 feet more <br />or less to the intersection of the south section line of <br />Section 25, T37N, R2E; thence east following the south line <br />of Section 25, T37N, R2E a distance of 230 feet more or <br />less to a point of intersection with the right-of-way of <br />the southeast interchange segment of U.S. 31 and U.S. 31 <br />South Bend By -Pass, thence northeasterly following the <br />above mentioned interchange right -of -way a distance of 1550 <br />feet more or less to a point of intersection with a line <br />624 feet west of and parallel to the north and south center- <br />line of Section 25, T37N, R2E; thence north along the afore- <br />said line a distance of 225 feet more or less to the south <br />line of Reasor Street and the northerly right -of -way line <br />of U.S. 31 interchange, thence northwesterly along the <br />northerly right -of -way line of U.S. 31 interchange to the <br />point of intersection with the south line of Callander <br />Street; thence west along the south line of Callander Street <br />to the east right -of -way line of U.S. 31; thence northeasterly <br />along the east line of U.S. 31 to a point 97.25 feet south <br />and 50 feet east of the center of the intersection of U.S. 31 <br />and Ireland Road; thence northeasterly to a point in the <br />
