MEMO TO MR. JAMES A. BICKEL
Re: POSTAGE ACCOUNT C - 212
$900.00
will be
needed for the balance of
1969 to operate Room
# 4 for the Metered
for unpaid
Postage
(postage
on parking tickets prepaid)
also for the mailing
msc.
of notices
mailing for the office.
parking
tickets,
general mailing, subpoenas
for court, other
The
money in
the
other accounts will be needed to carry out the needs in the office for
the
remainder
of
the year.
You might recall in the 1969 request in budget I had an amount for postage C - 212 $3800.00
I was cut to $3000.00.
Trend seems to be same as a charge account, buy now pay later, notices must be sent
to more people than previous in order to collect. Also the more people hear through
public hearing or paper they become better informed and do not pay now until a notice
reaches them.
Sincerely,
KATH YNGL. SLOUGH, CITY CLERK
0
