ORDINANCE NO. 5136-70 <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, GENERALLY DESCRIBED <br />AS THE FILLMORE ROAD, MAYFLOWER ROAD, PENN <br />CENTRAL, CITY LIMITS ANNEXATION. <br />Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana that: <br />Section 1 - The following described land, lying adjacent <br />to and forming a contiguous boundary with the present City Limits <br />of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, more particularly <br />described as: <br />Beginning at a point on the northwest corner of the <br />east one -half (1/2) of Section 8, T37N, R2E, said point <br />being on the existing City Limits of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, and at the center of the intersection of <br />Mayflower Road and Fillmore Road; thence north following <br />the west line of the east one -half (1/2) of Section 5, <br />T37N, R2E, a distance of 2165 feet more or less to the <br />point of intersection with the north right-of-way line <br />of the New York Central Railroad (Penn Central); thence <br />southeasterly following the north right-of-way line of <br />the said Railroad a distance of 4070 feet more or less <br />to a point of intersection with the west line of the <br />east one -half (1/2) of the southwest one - quarter (1/4) <br />of Section 4, T37N, R2E, said point being on the City <br />Limits of the City of South Bend, Indiana; thence south <br />and west following the City Limits a distance of 5470 <br />feet more or less to the point of beginning.
