BLOUGH <br />CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5155 -70 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE <br />WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />AND ASHLAND CHEMICAL COMPANY, SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF CHEMICALS FOR USE <br />FROM FEBRUARY 7, 1970 TO FEBRUARY 7, 1971, IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $6,84,0.00. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />SECTION I: That the contract entered into between the Water Works of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana and Ashland Chemical Company, South <br />Bend, Indiana, on the 19th day of January 1970, pursuant to advertising <br />and receipt of bids as the purchase of same is required in the operation <br />of said Water Works, in a total quantity and a total cost not to exceed <br />the quantity and cost itemized for chemicals in the amount of $6,840.00, <br />is hereby approved and confirmed: <br />Item No. 1 <br />380 150 lb. cylinders of liquid <br />chlorine delivered as needed, <br />F.O.B.
