1.:57 �a ORDINANCE N0. 5270 -71� AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,000.00 TO ACCOUNT MVH -42, "STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS" IN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND. v' WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary conditions; and G1 �z �m O z R� c. c� u WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for materials necessary to more nearly complete the projected 1971 Street Program of re- surfacing, sealing, and maintaining of streets, and to assure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions; and WHEREAS, a surplus exists in the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That for additional expenses incidental to the Motor Vehicle Highway Department there is hereby appropriated from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund to the following account: Account MVH -42 "Street and Alley Materials ", the sum of $70,000.00. SECTION II.
