Hunter, Director of Utilities <br />This unit was bid through the Board of Public Works and Safety. Gates <br />Chevrolet, Pncorporated submitted the only bid amount to $2,086.20. <br />A 1967 Chevrolet Van Truck (Unit No. 10) of the same type will be <br />traded in on this new unit. The old truck has in excess of 60,000 <br />miles and in need of repair. We recommended to the Board of Water <br />commissioners that they accept this bid. A contract was entered into <br />on January 4. <br />This particular unit is used by the Meter Department for their Meter <br />Replacement Program, meter installations and removals, stop box repairs, <br />etc. <br />�.
