The Area Plan Commission at its public hearing on February 19, 2002, took the following action: Upon a motion by John DeLee, being seconded by Alberta Husband and unanimously carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of Thomas Jerome Cameron to zone from "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area to "C" Commercial, "E" Height and Area, property located at 3502 Lincolnway West, City of South Bend, as tabled is sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation sub'ect to a final site plan showing a six foot high solid wood fence and to require the petitioner to wor~ with the Staff to provide further buffering such as berming and plantings along the south property line. The petition area abuts commercially zoned property to the east and west and there are other commercially zoned properties to the north across Lincolnway West. It is the Commission's opinion that the proposed commercial zoning and uses are not out of character with the surrounding development and are reasonable along Lwcolnway West in this area. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the minutes of the public heanng, and will be forwarded to you at a later date to be made a part of this report.
