<br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Motor Vehicle
<br />Highway Department for overtime and new equipment to assure that
<br />department's ability to properly perform its functions; and
<br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in another account where it is
<br />not presently needed and more specifically as follows, to -wit;
<br />$13,000.00 in Account MVH -11, "Services Personal -
<br />Administrative"
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />SECTION I. That the sum of $13,000.00 be transferred from
<br />Account MVH -11 "Services Personal - Administrative" and transferred
<br />and appropriated to the accounts and in the amounts set forth below:
<br />1. Account MVH -13 "Services Personal -
<br />Extra and Overtime" $6,000.00
<br />2. Account MVH -722 "Motor Equipment" 7,000.00
<br />All of the above accounts are within the General Fund and
<br />in the Motor Vehicle Highway Department.
<br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
<br />from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
<br />Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency
<br />appropriations.

<br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in

<br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to
