<br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed
<br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now
<br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the
<br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet
<br />such extraordinary conditions; and
<br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Traffic Depart-
<br />ment for traffic signal equipment repair, replacement and reconstruc-
<br />tion, and to assure that department's ability to properly perform
<br />its functions; and
<br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in the General Fund in excess
<br />of $2,500.00,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
<br />the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />SECTION I. That for additional expenses incidental to
<br />the Traffic Department, there is hereby appropriated from the
<br />General Fund to the following account:
<br />ACCOUNT T -726, "OTHER EQUIPMENT ", the sum of
<br />$2,500.00
<br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
<br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval
<br />by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for
<br />emergency appropriations.
