o ORDINANCE NO. 5309 -71 • I 1SJ9 3 o cu Y c),n AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS BEING BOUNDED BY LIBERTY HIGHWAY (IND. #23), SOUTH OLIVE STREET, WEST EEING AVENUE AND KALEY STREET. LL, '= Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana that: Section 1 - The following described land, lying adjacent to and forming a contiguous boundary with the present City Limits of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, more particularly described as: Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly right -of -way line of Prairie Avenue and the east right -of -way line of South Olive Street (which point is on the present City Limits line); thence southwesterly to a point of intersection of the west right -of -way line of South Olive Street and the northerly right -of -way line of Prairie Avenue; thence southwesterly along the northerly right -of- way line of Prairie Avenue to a point of intersection of this northerly right -of -way line of Prairie Avenue and the west right -of -way line of Kaley Street (which presently is a 30 foot wide 1/2 right -of -way); thence north along this present west right -of -way line of Kaley Street to a point of intersection with the present City Limits line; thence east along the present City Limits line to a point of intersection with the east right -of -way line of South Olive Street; thence south along the east right -of -way line of South Olive Street to the point of beginning, contain- ing 18.0 acres more or less, all in the northwest 1/4 of Section 22, T37N, R2E, Portage Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, be, and the same hereby is, annexed as a part of the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana. Section 2 - This Ordinance is to be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, the approval of the Mayor, and its publication according to law. BOOK of the Common Council
