ORDINANCE NO. 5307 -71 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $290,850.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO THE ACCOUNT "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND. WHEREAS, there was enacted during the 1969 Session of the Indiana General Assembly an Act, Chapter 392 of the Acts of 1969, making available to cities, towns and counties for engineering, construction or reconstruction of roads, streets and bridges under local jurisdiction, certain additional funds to be derived from the 7th and 8th cents of Indiana motor fuel tax and fuel use tax and from increases in fees levied under the Motor Vehicle Act; and WHEREAS, no appropriation of such funds was included in the regular 1971 budget for the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana; and WHEREAS, an emergency exists requiring the appropria- tion and expenditure of certain of said funds already received or to be received before the end of the year 1971; and WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the City's matching funds of not less than 25% of the cost of the projects, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I.
