Dollars in lawful money of the United States of America, being the interest then due on its Sewage Works Revenue Bond, Second Series, dated 1, 1971 No. , CITY OF SOUTH BEND M csimile) MAYOR (Facsimile) City Controller REGISTRATION ENDORSEMENT This bond can be registered only at the office of the City Controller in the City of South Bend, Indiana. No writing hereon except by the City Controller. In Whose Name Date of Registry Registered City Controller Sec. 7. The City Controller is hereby authorized and directed to have said bonds and coupons prepared, and the Mayor, City Controller and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said bonds and the interest coupons to be attached thereto, in the form and manner herein provided. After said bonds have been properly executed, the City Controller shall deliver the same to the Treasurer of St. Joseph County, ex officio Treasurer of the City of South Bend, and shall take his receipt therefor, and upon the consummation of the sale of said bonds the City Controller shall certify to the Treasurer the amount which the purchaser is to pay for the same; thereupon, the Treasurer shall be authorized to re- ceive from the purchaser the amount so certified by the Controller, and to deliver the bonds to such purchaser. The amount to be certified by the Controller and collected by the Treasurer shall be the full amount which the purchaser has agreed to pay therefor, which shall not be less than the face value of said bonds, plus accrued interest from the date thereof to the date of delivery. The bonds herein authorized, when fully paid for and delivered to the purchaser, shall be binding special revenue obligations of - 10 -
