ORDINANCE NO. 5297 -71 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $22,800.00 FROM ACCOUNT XX -26.1, <br />"OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ", TO THE FOLLOWING <br />ACCOUNTS, ACCOUNT XX -12 "TEMPORARY HELP" $20,000.00, <br />ACCOUNT XX -215 "TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCE ", $550.00, <br />ACCOUNT XX -37 "OTHER SUPPLIES ", $500.00 AND ACCOUNT <br />XX -722 "MOTOR EQUIPMENT ", $1,750.00, IN THE SANITATION <br />DEPARTMENT, ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now <br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the <br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet <br />such extraordinary conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Sanitation <br />Department for temporary help and transportation allowance to continue <br />its activities and to assure the department's ability to properly <br />perform its functions; and <br />WHEREAS, a surplus now exists in Account XX -261, "Other <br />Contractual Services ", <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT <br />City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That for <br />Sanitation Department, there i; <br />Contractual Services ", Account <br />following accounts: <br />ORDAINED by the Common Council of the <br />additional expenses incidental to the <br />hereby appropriated from "Other <br />XX -261, the sum of $22,800.00 to the <br />a. Account No. XX -12, "Temporary Help ", the sum of <br />$20,000.00, <br />b. Account No. XX -215, "Transportation Allowance ", <br />the sum of $550.003 <br />C. Account No. XX -37, "Other Supplies ", the sum of <br />$500.00, <br />d. Account No. XX -722, "Motor Equipment ", the sum of <br />$1,750.00. <br />SECTION II.
