This ordinance reflects a 2% increase over 2008 salaries, which <br />will not be funded if the city receives no new additional revenue to mitigate the effects of <br />the 2009 property tax reform. But the ordinance allows us to set a maximum in order to <br />have flexibility in case such additional revenue does become available. It is important to <br />note that any positions /titles marked new have been funded through existing dollars and <br />no new dollars are requested. <br />I will present this ordinance at the appropriately scheduled Finance & Personnel <br />Committee meeting along with any additional pertinent information.
