Sec. 1-4. Six Councilmanic Districts. <br />The City is hereby divided into six (6) Councilmanic Districts which shall be known as: First <br />Councilmanic District, Second Councilmanic District, Third Councilmanic District, Fourth <br />Councilmanic District, Fifth Councilmanic District, and Sixth Councilmanic District. Such <br />districts are bounded as follows: <br />(1) South Bend First Councilmanic District: Beginning at the intersection of the <br />center lines of the St. Joseph River and Colfax Avenue; thence West along said line of <br />Colfax Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of William Street; thence North along <br />said line to its intersection with the centerline of Lincolnway West; thence Northwesterly <br />along said line to its intersection with the centerline of Blaine Avenue; thence North along <br />said centerline to the intersection of the California Avenue centerline; thence West along <br />said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of the Conrail Railroad spur R/W line; <br />thence Northeasterly along said line to its intersection with the centerline of Portage <br />Avenue; thence Northwesterly along said line to its intersection with the centerline of <br />Elwood Avenue; thence West along said line and said line extended to the West to its <br />intersection with the centerline of Bendix Drive; thence South along said line to its <br />intersection with the centerline of Lincolnway West; thence Northwesterly along said line to <br />its intersection with the Portage and German Township boundary line; thence North along <br />said boundary line to its intersection with the Lincolnway West Northerly boundary line; <br />thence Northwesterly 2,945 feet along said North line; thence South 533.83 feet; thence <br />West 1,229.54 feet to the East R/W line of Mayflower Road; thence North 915.94 feet along <br />said East R/W; thence Northeasterly perpendicular to the R/W of Lincolnway West, 150 feet <br />to the Northerly R/W line of Lincolnway West; thence Northwesterly along said R/W 4,000 <br />feet to the interchange with the US 20/31 By-Pass; thence South 300 feet; thence <br />Southwesterly along said US 20/31 By-pass R/W 2,107 feet; thence East 2,025 feet to the <br />East R/W line of Oak Road; thence South along said East line, 1,950 feet; thence West <br />1,340.51 feet; thence South 700 feet to the South line of Edison Road; thence West along <br />the South line of Edison Road, 413 feet to the East line projected of I.P.C. Minor <br />Subdivision; thence North 510.3 feet to the Northeast corner of I.P.C. Minor Subdivision; <br />thence West 496.73 feet to the Northwest corner of I.P.C. Minor; thence continuing West to <br />the West line of the US 20/31 By-pass; thence North along the West line of the US 20/31 <br />By-pass, 2,511 feet to the interchange with Lincolnway West; thence Northwesterly along <br />said interchange R/W, 2,640 feet; thence Northeasterly along said interchange R/W 800 feet <br />to the North-South centerline of Section 30, Township 38 North, Range 2 East; thence North <br />6,853.54 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 2, Olive Road Commerce Park; thence West 660 <br />feet along the South line of said lot 2 to the Northeast corner of Wells Electronics Minor <br />Subdivision; thence South along the East line of Wells Electronics Minor 1,336.23 feet to <br />the South line of Cleveland Road; thence West 660 feet more or less to the East line of Olive <br />Road; thence South along the East line of Olive Road, 382.7 feet; thence West 185 feet; <br />thence North 382.7 feet to the South line of Cleveland Road; thence West along the South <br />Page 2 <br />
