Fireman pay, 1971 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5214 -70 <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL PAY OF <br />FIREMEN FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1971 <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: <br />SECTION 1: The annual pay of the officers <br />of the fire force of the City of South Bend for the <br />by rank and classification, shall be as follows: <br />Chief <br />$13,768.00 <br />Assistant Chief <br />11,333.00 <br />Battalion Chief <br />10,588.00 <br />Captain <br />9,740.00 <br />Lineman <br />9,740.00 <br />Lieutenant <br />9,422.00 <br />Engineer <br />8,786.00 <br />Fireman First Class <br />8,150.00 <br />Fireman <br />7,620.00 <br />Fireman in Training <br />7,090.00 <br />and members <br />year 1971, <br />SECTION 2: In addition to the foregoing annual pay, <br />the officers and members of the fire force shall receive com- <br />pensation for extra duty and special performance as follows: <br />For recall or overtime pay, $5.00 per hour; <br />For regularly assigned drivers of fire trucks and <br />other heavy equipment, $180.00 per year; <br />For regularly assigned scuba divers, $180.00 per <br />year; <br />$ 3 2.06or all personnel required to work on legal holi- <br />days, $9-9 -86 per holiday worked; this shall apply to the <br />following holidays and no others: <br />New Year's Day Labor Day <br />Lincoln's Birthday Columbus Day <br />Washington's Birthday Veterans Day <br />Good Friday Thanksgiving <br />Memorial Day Christmas <br />Fourth of July <br />SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in force and <br />effect for the calendar year commencing January 1, 1971, <br />and ending December 31, 1971. <br />ember of the Common Council <br />1st & 2nd READING 7 -13 -70 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 7 -20 -70 <br />3rd READING 7 -20 -70 <br />NOT APPROVED <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED 7 -20 -70 <br />FILED IN CLERK'S OFFICE <br />JUL 8 1970 <br />Kathryn L.
