ORDINANCE NO. 5412 -72 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS WITHIN <br />THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$3,000.00 FROM ACCOUNT Q -722, "PROPERTIES - <br />MOTOR EQUIPMENT ", TO ACCOUNT Q -43, "MATERIALS - <br />REPAIR PARTS ", BOTH ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE <br />GENERAL FUND. <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now <br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the <br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet <br />such extraordinary conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the South Bend <br />Fire Department for repair parts, and to assure that department's <br />ability to properly perform its functions, and <br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in another account where it is <br />not presently needed and more specifically as follows, to -wit: <br />$3,000.00 in Account Q -722 - "Properties - Motor Equipment" <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $3,000.00 be transferred from <br />Account Q -722— operties - Motor Equipment ", and transferred and <br />appropriated to Account Q -43, "Materials - Repair Parts ", in the <br />Fire Department Budget, both accounts being within the General Fund. <br />SECTION II.
