WHEREAS, engineering studies have been completed certain storm water flood control projects, and WHEREAS, funds are now needed for appraisals, land acquisition, design engineering and construction of said first priority projects, and WHEREAS, a Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund has been established, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That the sum of $36,000,00 be appropriated from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund for appraisals, land acquisition, engineering and construction of a storm water retention basin as set forth in the Charles W. Cole and Son, Inc. engineering study dated December, 1969, and designated as Lagoon "E". Crestwood Management Company is to share the cost by paying 20% of the total project cost per agreement with the Board of Public Works and Safety dated October 26, 1971. Project VII - 1971, Crestwood Gardens (Lagoon "E ") Retention Basin - - - - - - - - - - - - - - $36,000.00 SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements.
