ORDINANCE NO. 5344 -71 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $71,500.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO ACCOUNT 261, "OTHER <br />CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ", SAID ACCOUNT BEING WITHIN <br />THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND. <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now <br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the <br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet <br />such extraordinary conditions; and <br />purposes: <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for the following <br />1. To provide City's matching funds for Local Road and <br />Street Fund Projects: <br />a. R &S 41. Improvement of intersection <br />of Elwood & Portage Avenues. $ 7,006.50 <br />b. R &S 42. Improvement of intersection <br />of Twyckenham Drive and Ewing <br />Avenue. 11,475.00 <br />2. To provide funds for the purchase of <br />land in the Linden School area for <br />development of a park. 53,018.50 <br />TOTAL $71,500.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $71,500.00 be appropriated <br />from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund to Account 261, "Other <br />Contractual Services ", within the Cumulative Capital Improvement <br />Fund. <br />SECTION II.
