ORDINANCE NO. 5340 -71 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $89,200.00 TO ACCOUNT MVH -42, <br />"STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS" IN THE MOTOR <br />VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND. <br />FILED IN CLERK'S OFF(Cl <br />SEP 2 31971 <br />Kathryn L. Blougf.. <br />City Clerk, South Bend,, Ind. <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now <br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the <br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet <br />such extraordinary conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for materials <br />necessary to more nearly complete the projected 1971 Street Program <br />of resurfacing, sealing, and maintaining of streets, and to assure <br />the Department's ability to properly perform its functions; and <br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in the Motor Vehicle Highway <br />Fund, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That for additional expenses incidental to <br />the Motor Vehicle Highway Department there is hereby appropriated <br />from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund to the following account: <br />Account MVH -42 "Street and Alley Materials ", the <br />sum of $89,200.00. <br />SECTION II.
