ORDINANCE NO. 5339 -71 <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, DESCRIBED AS LYING GENERALLY <br />WEST OF HICKORY ROAD, SOUTH OF THE TOLL ROAD, EAST <br />OF IVY ROAD AND NORTH OF THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS., <br />AS AMENDED. (MAPLE LANE) <br />Be it enacted by the Common Council of the City of South <br />BencJ, Indiana that: <br />Section 1 - The following described land, lying adjacent to <br />and forming a contiguous boundary with the present City Limits of the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, more particularly described as: <br />Beginning at the northeast corner of the SE4 of Section 32, <br />T38N, R3E (which point is on the present City Limits line and <br />the centerline of Hepler Street); thence north along the east <br />line of said Section 32 to the northeast corner of said <br />Section 32; thence east or west along the north line of said <br />Section 32 to the southeast corner of Section 29, T38N, R3E; <br />thence north along the east line of said Section 29 to the south <br />right -of -way line of the Indiana Toll Road; thence westerly <br />along the south right -of -way line of the Indiana Toll Road a <br />distance of 5290 feet more or less to the west line of Section 29, <br />T38N, R3E, thence further west along the south right -o£ -way line <br />of the Indiana Toll Road a distance of 230 feet more or less; <br />thence south along a line 230 feet west of and parallel to the <br />west line of Section 29, T38N, R3E to a point 230 feet north of <br />the south line of Section 30, T38N, R3E; thence west along a <br />line 230 feet north of and parallel to the south line of <br />Section 30, T38N, R3E to the north and south centerline of said <br />Section 30; thence south 230 feet along the north and south <br />centerline of said Section 30 to the south line of said Section 30 <br />(this south line also being the centerline of Douglas Road); <br />thence east or west along the south line of said Section 30 to <br />the northwest corner of the NE4 of Section 31, T38N, R3E; thence <br />south along the centerline of said Section 31 a distance of 5280 <br />feet more or less to the south line of said Section 31; thence <br />east or west along the south line of said Section 31 to the <br />north 1/4 corner of Section 6, T37N, R3E; thence due south <br />40 feet; thence east along a line 40 feet south of and parallel <br />to the north line of said Section 6 a distance of 200 feet <br />more or less to the existing City Limits; thence due north <br />40 feet along the present City Limits; thence east along the <br />present City Limits to a point 432.3 feet east of the south- <br />west corner of the SE4 of Section 31, T38N, R3E; thence north <br />parallel with the west line of the SE4 of said Section 31 a <br />distance of 653 feet more or less; thence due east 18.3 feet <br />more or less to a point on the present City Limits line; thence <br />along the present City Limits line in a general <br />
