S Sa 9- � 3 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $108,000.00 <br />FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND AND <br />$12,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR PROJECT R & S 63 - <br />WIDENING OF BENDIX DRIVE FROM SOUTH SHORE <br />TRACK TO LATHROP AVENUE, AND INSTALLATION <br />OF CURBS AND GUTTERS <br />WHEREAS, there was enacted during the 1969 Session of <br />the Indiana General Assembly an Act, Chapter 392 of the Acts of <br />1969, making available to cities, towns and counties for <br />engineering, construction or reconstruction of roads, streets <br />and bridges under local jurisdiction, certain additional funds <br />to be derived from the 7th and 8th cents of Indiana motor fuel <br />tax and fuel use tax and from increases in fees levied under <br />the Motor Vehicle Act; and <br />WHEREAS, no appropriation of such funds was included <br />in the regular 1973 budget for the Civil City of South Bend, <br />Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists requiring the appropriation <br />and expenditure of certain of said funds already received or to <br />be received before the end of the year 1973; and <br />WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the City's <br />matching funds, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I.
