Dieter, Council President ^ Contact: 532 -2200 <br />South Bend City Council Seeking Residents to Apply for Positions on Upcoming <br />Vacancies on Various Boards and Commissions <br />The South Bend City Council has several positions on various boards and commissions which will be <br />expiring at the end of this calendar year. The Council is asking residents who wish to become more involved to <br />apply for consideration to be appointed as a City Council representative to the Animal Control Commission, the <br />Human Rights Commission, the MBEIWBE Utilization Board, the Redevelopment Commission and the Urban <br />Enterprise Association. <br />Interested persons can access an application from the City Council website or by stopping by the Office <br />of the City Clerk on the 40' Floor of the County -City Building to pick one up. <br />All applications must be received by the Office of the City Clerk no later than noon on Tuesday, <br />December 31, 2013. Interviews with qualifying applicants will then be scheduled in early 2014. <br />The following is a brief summary of the number of vacancies which there will soon be, as well as a <br />summary of the needed qualifications followed by a copy of the governing City Code regulations on the <br />appointment process and a reference to the City Code section which addresses the duties of the board or <br />commission.
