ORDINANCE NO. 5454 -72 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(Chapter 40, Municipal Code). <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />Section 1: <br />Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which ordinance is commonly known <br />as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same <br />hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following <br />described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State <br />of Indiana: <br />Part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township <br />37 North, Range 2 East, more particularly described as follows, viz: <br />Beginning at a point 20 feet North and 390 feet East of the Southwest <br />corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 25; thence running <br />Northeasterly 200 feet; thence East 50 feet; thence Southwesterly <br />parallel with the Easterly line of Main Street 200 feet; thence West <br />50 feet to the place of beginning, in St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Subject to legal highways. ALSO, A part of the South West Quarter <br />of the Northwest Quarter in Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 <br />East, being part of Lots 13, 14 and 16 in Byers Proposed Plat in <br />Center Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as beginning <br />at a point 20 feet North and 443 feet East of the Southwest corner <br />of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 25 (which point is on the <br />North line of Ireland Road 50 feet East of the East line of Main <br />Street); thence North 4 °50' East parallel with and 50 feet East of <br />the Easterly line of Main Street a distance of 200 feet; thence East <br />50 feet; thence South 4 °50' West parallel with and 100 feet Easterly <br />from the Easterly line of Main Street a distance of 50 feet; thence <br />East parallel with the North line of Ireland Road 6 feet; thence <br />South 4 050' West parallel with the Easterly line of Main Street <br />14 feet; thence East 15 feet parallel with the North line of Ireland <br />Road; thence South 4 050' west 136 feet parallel with the Easterly <br />line of Main Street; thence West 71 feet along the North line of <br />Ireland Road to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom a tri- <br />angular shaped piece of land described as beginning at a point 20 <br />feet North and 514 feet East of the Southwest corner of said <br />Northwest Quarter of Section 25 (which point is on the North <br />line of Ireland Road 121 feet East of the East line of Main Street) <br />running thence North 4 °50' East a distance of 136 feet; thence <br />West a distance of 5 feet; thence Southerly in a straight line to <br />the place of beginning, being a part of said Lot Numbered 13.
