Transfer Funds - <br />Traffic Department <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5440 -72 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,500.00 FROM THE GENERAL <br />FUND AND THE TRANSFER OF SAME TO ACCOUNT T -726, <br />"OTHER EQUIPMENT" IN THE TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT <br />BUDGET, SAID ACCOUNT BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL <br />FUND. <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now <br />necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the <br />annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet <br />such extraordinary conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Traffic <br />Department to purchase materials to repair traffic signals and for <br />general maintenance. Damages of over $6,900.00 have been collected <br />for the repair of signals and deposited in the General Fund. The <br />appropriation requested is needed to assure the Traffic Department's <br />ability to properly perform its functions, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $4,500.00 be appropriated from <br />the General Fund and transferred to Account T -726, "Other Equipment ", <br />in the Traffic Department budget, said account being within the General <br />Fund. <br />SECTION II.
