ORDINANCE NO. 5427 -72 . <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68 CHAPTER 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FORMERLY REFERRED TO <br />AS ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 AS AMENDED <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Section 1. <br />That Zoining Ordinance No. 4990 -68, Chapter 40 of the Municipal <br />Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, formerly known as Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 3702, be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented by zoning the <br />following described property "C" Commercial District and "G" Height and Area <br />District: A legal description of the property is as follows: <br />Beginning at a point formed by the intersection of center <br />line of LaSalle Avenue and the center line of Main Street; <br />thence South along the center line of Main Street to the <br />center line of Washington Street; thence West along the <br />center line of Washington Street to the center line of <br />Lafayette Boulevard; thence South along the center line of <br />Lafayette Boulevard to the center line of Jefferson Boule- <br />vard; thence East along the center line of Jefferson Boule- <br />vard to the center line of Main Street; thence South along <br />the center line of Main Street to the center line of Monroe <br />Street; thence East along the center line of Monroe Street to <br />AREA the East right -of -way line of Michigan Street extended South; <br />thence North along the East right -of -way line of Michigan <br />A Street to the intersection of the East right -of -way line of <br />Michigan Street with the South right -of -way line of Western Avenue; <br />thence Northeasterly along the South right -of -way line of <br />Western Avenue to the intersection of the East right -of -way <br />line of New Columbia Street and the East right -of -way of the <br />Jefferson - Western Connector Street; thence Northeasterly <br />along the East right -of -way line of the Jefferson - Western <br />Connector Street to the intersection of the East right -of- <br />way line of the Jefferson - Western Connector Street with the <br />North right -of -way line of Wayne Street extended East; thence <br />East along the North right -of -way line of Wayne Street <br />extended East to the center of the St. Joseph River; thence <br />Northwesterly along the center of the St. Joseph River to the <br />center line of LaSalle Avenue extended East; thence West along <br />the center line of LaSalle Avenue extended East to the center <br />line of Main Street, which is the point of beginning. <br />Section 2. <br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />FILED IN CLLPK'S OKICE <br />enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication.
